Ron Schoonover

I was born at Kaiser in La Mesa and raised in Santee. I attended Carlton Oaks elementary and went to West Hills High as well as Santana High. My class was going to be the first graduating class out of West Hills but because of construction delays it was not completed in time so I ended up at Santana High for the remainder of my high school days. I still live in the east county and enjoy it very much. I am a father of three, one son that is 11 years old and two daughters, my oldest is 4 years old and my younger daughter is 2 years old. I have an older brother Randy Schoonover who graduated from Santana in 1984. I also have an older sister Lavonne Sanders who graduated from Santana in 1979.

When I first got out of high school I went to work in the family business of cabinet installing and did that until 1998. In 1998 I started working on obtaining my California Real Estate license and received it in the winter of 1999. Since getting my license I have been a full time Mortgage and Real Estate professional. I first started as a REALTOR© and mortgage consultant and after working at that company for about one and a half years was promoted to a supervisor. After leaving that company I went to work for a big name company and worked for them for about 3 years. I left the big name company to be an owner of another company and stayed there until I recently received my California Real Estate Brokers license. Now I am starting my own venture as Premier Mortgage & Real Estate.

Amber Schoonover - Branch Manager

I am a California native, born and raised in San Diego, California. I have been married to my husband since October of 2000 and we have 3 children. As a family we are very outgoing and love to spend time at the river and desert and also having pool parties in the backyard of our house in Lakeside, CA.

I have been in the mortgage and real estate profession since 1999 when I started as a receptionist at a wholesale lender. Since then, I have worked in many aspects of the business and I’m excited about this venture that I am taking with my husband Ron and coworker Steve, together as Premier Mortgage & Real Estate. I am always striving to be the best at what I do and that is why I am happy to be a part of this team. Premier Mortgage & Real Estate is mine and my husbands dream and passion and we will stop at nothing to make sure that we are a success in every way while running this company and working with our clients and their families and friends.


Ricky A. Schoonover

Native San Diegan, Graduated from Granite Hills High School, went on to serve in the US Navy as a Helicopter Air crewman Rescue Swimmer. I served from October 17, 1994 through April 17, 2000. Upon honorable discharge from the military I went into catering part while continuing my education and obtaining my Real Estate license in January of 2003. I went to work with a local mortgage and real estate company with Ron Schoonover my cousin and mentor. Four years later I moved onto Premier Mortgage & Real Estate. This was a natural progression for me and my career as I continue to grow and learn both personally and professionally. I am excited to see all the positive energy and innovative thinking and working together as a team as we embark on this new venture.
